 野兽家园是由基纳、鲁法洛、雷克斯等人主演的影片，主要是讲述小男孩离家出走之后，意外的走进住着很多毛茸茸怪物的森林当中，然后与它们互相团结抵抗森林的入侵者，共同保护森林当中所有的怪物，使森林当中所有的怪物幸福的生活。故事过程是主人公小男孩刚开始因为精力的旺盛无法得到宣泄，也受不了妈妈的管教和姐姐的忽视，小男孩和母亲大吵一架之后，直接离家出走，独自到河边乘坐一艘白色的小船，在海上行驶两天两夜，到达神秘的小岛上，在岛上住着一群头上长角、身材高大的毛茸茸怪物们。它们本性非常的善良，有的脾气暴躁有的性格温顺，为了不被它们吃掉，小男孩骗怪物说是维京人的国王，怪物们性格单纯相信小男孩，此后小男孩在岛屿上建立新的居住地，与怪物们愉快的相处，但不久之后发现自己其实非常想念家里的母亲，最终回到家里，将离家出走这段岁月保留为自己的美好童年的记忆
