讲述的是一系列惊人的杀人案件，每起案件都在漫画中有所呈现。山城圭吾一开始只是想借助这些案件创作畅销漫画，但是没想到这些案件居然真的被人照着漫画中的情节复制了一遍又一遍

当局对此高度重视，派出了警方负责人高野（佐佐木藏之介饰）来到山城的工作室，希望与他合作找出犯罪嫌疑人。高野通过调查发现，山城的助手大贯（伊藤淳史饰）就是案件的嫌疑人之一，他曾因涉嫌杀人入狱。

在追查案件的过程中，山城发现了一个重要线索：凶手两角曾是他的初中同学。两人虽然没有任何交情，但凶手两角却对山城怀恨在心。他因为山城曾经曝光过他的过错而耿耿于怀，因此决定用自己的手段，把山城的漫画变成现实。

山城在警方的协助下，最终将凶手两角绳之以法。他也从这次经历中，认识到一个好的漫画不只是技巧上的突出，更重要的是要有丰富的想象力，能够创作出具有魅力的角色和故事情节。同时，他也明白了，一个人的过去，可以对他的未来产生巨大的影响。

The authorities attached great importance to this, and sent police chief Takano (Kunosuke Sasaki) to the studio in Yamashiro, hoping Work with him to find the suspect.
