The film follows the stories of eight very different women, including a pregnant adult film star, two down-on-his-luck call girls , a little girl obsessed with goth culture, and a flight attendant with a crush on celebrities. When porn star Elektra (Carla Gugino) finds out she's pregnant, her once wild lifestyle is upended. At the same time, she and the psychopath Doris (Connie Britton) are trapped in the elevator.
