2014年香港电视剧《开脑儆探(粤语)》由刘顺安执导，黄日华、李璨琛、卢海鹏、林嘉华、关楚耀、黄芷晴、黄芝琪、汤怡等主演。故事以主角辛纪元（黄日华饰）为中心，原本是重案组督察，然而在儿子离奇猝死后，他触发了一种能力，可以阅读并捕捉他人意识的能力。在这过程中，他表现出双重性格的迹象，让妻子和其他人都以为他患了精神病。但实际上，他深信儿子是在“意识空间”被人杀死的！

于是，纪元决心钻研这种“阅读人意识”的能力，化身私家侦探，协助警方调查超自然案件，希望有一天能查出在意识空间杀死儿子的真凶。而剧中的其他主角同样拥有异于常人的能力，他们将别人眼中“不正常”的特质，转化为不可思议的潜能，共同合作破解层出不穷的奇案。

The 2014 Hong Kong TV drama "Open Brain and Detective (Cantonese)" was directed by Lau Shun-an, featuring Wong Yat-wah, Lee Chan-sum, Lu Haipeng, Lam Ka-wah , Guan Chuyao, Huang Zhiqing, Huang Zhiqi, Tang Yi and others starred. The story centers on the protagonist Xin Jiyuan (played by Huang Rihua), who was originally an inspector of the serious crimes team. However, after his son died suddenly, he triggered an ability to read and capture the consciousness of others. In the process, he showed signs of a dual personality, leading his wife and others to think he was mentally ill. But in fact, he firmly believed that his son was killed in the "space of consciousness"!

Therefore, Ji Yuan decided to delve into this ability of "reading human consciousness", incarnate A private detective who assists the police in investigating supernatural cases, hoping to find out the real culprit who killed his son in the conscious space one day.
